Bug description

I have 96 LDAP users accounts, all users exept 2 users (who have this bug) have created a profile and all have the same set of files and folders that are created by the user at the first login to the cloud. Two users have no folders no files in their profile. The New button is inactive , the inside is empty . This 2 Users in group folder section on left side see group folders and can work in them. but the Personal Profiles Files page are empty.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Fresh install Nextcloud on Ubuntu Nginx MySql
  2. Add LDAP Users
  3. After User Login - Missing file and folders - just empty in Files page and NEW ( t make new files and folders ) button inactive

Expected behavior

Two ldap users have no folders no files in their profile. The New button is inactive , the inside is empty . This 2 Users in group folder section on left side see group folders and can work in them. but the Personal Profiles Files page are empty.

    users who have this bug an empty directory in the files on the disk
    1 User Have nothing in root firectory
    1 user have files directory - but empty inside
    1

    Fix for this problem

    1. Go to user folder
    2. mkdir files
    3. chown -R www-data:www-data files
    4. sudo -u www-data php /var/www/nextcloud/occ files:scan usernamefolder
      Done

    @Shamri04 Update. :) This has already been fixed across all supported majors (v28-v30) with up-to-date maintenance releases.

    It's a duplicate of #42663
