For anyone wanting to try this out before it gets merged: curl -fsSL https://github.com/raw/thedavidweng/deck-tailscale/feat/one-line-installer/install.sh | bash |
- Run '/opt/tailscale/tailscale up' with sudo during install so that operator privileges can be granted and daemon socket accessed. - Add polling loop to await tailscaled socket and API readiness before invoking 'tailscale up'. - Include ExecStartPre and ExecStopPost cleanup handlers in override.conf. Summary
Inspired by Decky Loader's installation experience, this adds a standalone one-line installer script (
install.sh) so users can install and configure Tailscale on Steam Deck with a single command:curl -fsSL https://github.com/raw/tailscale-dev/deck-tailscale/main/install.sh | bashChanges
install.sh: Self-contained installer that prompts forsudocredentials upfront, handles dependencies, downloads latest binaries, sets up systemd services and overrides without external file dependencies, and generates the login QR code.tailscale.sh: Inlinesoverride.conffallback so the legacy script also works standalone without requiring local files.readme.md: Highlights the Quick Install one-liner at the top while preserving the manual steps below.
